Build Healthy Mealtimes Habits!
Take a break from the TV or phone and build healthy mealtime habits together!
Choosing Whole-Grain Foods!
Whole grains are important sources of nutrients such as zinc, magnesium, B vitamins, and fiber.
Asparagus with Gremolata Sauce
Asparagus is one of the first crops of the season! Enjoy often in the spring--it's easy to cook and simple seasonings can really enhance it's flavor! When selecting asparagus, spears should be bright green, firm and straight. It is important to buy stalks with tight, compact and pointed tips.
Grow A Family Garden!
Gardening offers family fun. In a garden, you can be active, relax, and spend time together. Growing vegetables or herbs teaches children that plants, like people, need food and water to grow and stay healthy. Caring for plants helps develop responsibility. It also builds self-esteem when kids see what they can grow!
